Bristol Anesthesia Services is a well-established practice and has enjoyed providing anesthetic care to the patients of Bristol Regional Medical Center and the surrounding surgery centers, proudly providing the highest standards in anesthesia services to the people of Northeastern Tennessee and Southwestern Virginia for over 35 years. Our Anesthesiologists are all board certified and include specialists in obstetric anesthesia and cardio-thoracic anesthesia. At Bristol Anesthesia Services, we use the Anesthesia Care Team approach, with medically directed CRNAs and, in some instances, provide physician administered anesthesia.
Our practice combines physician administered anesthesia with anesthesia care team services utilizing hospital employed CRNAs. We have eleven anesthesiologists, all board certified.

Anesthesia delivered by Bristol Anesthesia Services is given by an anesthesia care team that includes a Physician and a medically directed certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA).
What anesthetics are used?
The options for anesthesia available to you will be discussed with you during your pre-operative assessment by your Anesthesiologist. He or she will evaluate the options and provide you with the risks and benefits of each option. As Anesthesiologists, we are your advocates and will ensure that the anesthetic options provide the best opportunity for safety and comfort.
